CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – A deep Preferred Pace and the continuation of the Joe & Steven MacRae Memorial headline a stacked Saturday program at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
First race post time is 12:30 P.M., for the 16-dash event.
The Preferred 1 Pace in race 15 carries a $5,500 purse where Brookdale Johnny draws the inside for driver Paul Langille and trainer Phil Sizer as part of a stable entry for owner Doug Polley Jr. and Doug Polley Sr., that includes post 3 starter Wind Blown (To be driven by Corey MacPherson).
Phil My Beer leaves from post 2 for trainer Landon Campbell and driver Marc Campbell while Rose Run X Con (Adam Merner) holds down post 4 for trainer Nicholas Oakes.
The heavyweights get the outside as multiple Preferred winner Twin B Tuffenuff (Gilles Barrieau) has post 5 for trainer Ron Matheson and Bee Two Bee (Jason Hughes) has won this class the last two weeks from the Ashley Gamester barn and gets post 6 on Saturday.
The Post Time Picks go with Bee Two Bee on top.
“Bee Two Bee After a subpar performance three starts back, he has bounced back with back-to-back wins and he fired home in 27.1 to score his latest. He’s even better off a covered-up trip, which isn’t great news for his competition. With this outside post, we might see Hughes trip him out, so if he picks up live cover, he could buzz by the field in the stretch.”
Race 2 is a leg 2 division of the Joe & Steven MacRae Memorial for $4,000.
Buddysnvirgins (Barrieau) leaves from post 3 for owners Ryan and Darrell Neill of North Milton after winning leg 1 last week.
The $4,500 divisions of the Joe & Steven MacRae Memorial are in races 4 and 6.
Race 4 has Power Of Four (Ryan Desroche) off the rail after winning his division last week for owner-trainer Irwin Neill of Charlottetown.
The other division in race 6 will see Heres To Art (Ken Murphy) the top selection from post 5 for trainer Clifford Murphy and owners Donnie Smith and Paul Hogan,
Race 9 is a PEISHOA event for $3,800 with Chromed Up (MacPherson) selected on top from post 2 for trainer Chris MacKay.
