CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – A field of accomplished mares will line up for top billing in the Thursday evening feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park, as Sweet Molly looks to maintain her red-hot autumn form.
The capital oval has a 12-dash presentation beginning at 6 P.M.
The Fillies and Mares feature in Race 11 carries a $4,150 purse with Sweet Molly bouncing in with a win and two-seconds in her last three starts and will start from post 3 for trainer-driver David Dowling, who co-owns with Clair Murphy, Derrill Murphy and Cindy MacLean. The four-year-old daughter of Sweet Lou will look for lifetime win number 10 against a competitive group.
My Happy Place has been a model of consistency all season and will leave from post 5 for driver Gilles Barrieau and trainer Ron Matheson. The daughter of Betterthancheddar was a winner in The Maritimer stake in September at Connell Park in Woodstock, N.B., and boasts a 1:53.1 record taken over Woodbine Mohawk Park earlier this season.
Galway Girl has post 1 from the red hot Landon Campbell barn with Marc Campbell guiding daughter of Shanghai Phil. Redland Misspretty (To be driven by Paul Langille) holds down post 2 for trainer Kyle Williams and Elm Grove Mistress (Jason Hughes) rounds out the competitive field from the Jennifer Doyle barn.

“Sweet Molly wanted to boss it last week and raced great finishing second to Shake N Blake. She’s back at the same level and Dowling will have her on the front foot so she could get win number six in 2025.”
Race 9 is “The Brown Wedding November 1, 2025” pace with Lady Devine (Ken Murphy) selected on top from the Jennifer Doyle barn over Promise Me Later (Dowling) and Magicial Mistress (Adam Merner).
Rocket Blast (Corey MacPherson) takes on the top trot in race 3 for a $3,700 purse for owner Carl Bagnall. The son of EL Rocket has four foes including Majian Salsa (Jim Ripley), Hallofaride (Ryan Desroche), Labero (Marc Campbell) and Glider Man (Dowling).
