Driver Bio

Jason Hughes began his driving career on Prince Edward Island in 1993. Hughes had a banner season in 2023 with 180 wins and purse earnings of over $725,000.

Also in 2023, Hughes guided P L Ozzy to victory in Trial Three of the Gold Cup & Saucer. Jason also reined Next In Line to Breeders Crown glory in the three year old pacing fillies division and was a winner with Tobins Chester in the two year old pacing colts division.

Hughes was nominated for the O’Brien Award of Horsemanship in 2023.

In 2025, Hughes won his first Governor’s Plate with Miki Shan N and set a CDP Track Trotting Record of 1:54.3 with Fight Song in the Island Oceans Trot Final.
