Highlights :

Saturday April 7th

  • 9am - Mallow Town is open for business! Come and browse for bargains in association with Mallow Chamber. Mallow Art Alliance are also bringing visual art to a shop window near you!
  • 11.00 am – Guided walk with Tim Sheehan, leaving the Arches Bar. Contact Tim 087 259 3791
  • 12noon The Festival will be officially launched by Mayor of Mallow Dan Joe Fitzgerald and festival chairperson Mary Kelly.
  • 12 noon - Country Lifestyle Pet Show at Spa House, Mallow, contact 022 20121
  • 12.15 – Variety, activities and entertainment is the name of the day! 4 music stages throughout the town with Deuces Wild, Revenge, Hank Wedel, Southern Bluegrass Revival, Arundo amongst others and for the kids, a crocodile tunnel, bouncing castle, bungee trampoline, carousel and dunk tank!
  • 12.45 – First performance of Macnas’s new performing show “Rumpus” on Main Street
  • 2pm- First day of racing at Cork Racecourse Mallow with free transport shuttle from the train station and the town centre
  • 2.30pm – Historical Guided Tours featuring Mallow Town and the History of Mallow’s Castles and meeting at the castle grounds
  • 3.00pm – Macnas return to the streets with “Rumpus”
  • 6pm – Restaurant and Pub trail kicks off with evening programme of live music at various venues
  • 7pm – Final live dramatic performance by Macnas at Mallow Castle

Sunday April 8th

  • 9am – Food and Craft Fair on Main Street, music and entertainment, mobile farm and lots more, supported by the North Cork Enterprise Board
  • 1.00pm – Mallow Rotary Charity Ball Run down O’Brien Street with proceeds going to local charities. Balls on sale at the Festival Office
  • 1.45pm - Munster v Ulster will be live on the Big Screen at Cork Racecourse Mallow
  • 2pm -Second day of racing gets underway, free shuttle buses to and from the venue
  • 2.30pm-Mallow Historical Tours focuses on Mallow’s Churches. Meet your guide Dan Doolan at St. James’ Church grounds
  • 3.00pm - TV3′s Karen Koster will be judging Best Dressed Lady and Gent at Cork Racecourse with€2000 worth of prizes on offer!
  • 4pm – Best Dressed Lady and Gent winners announced at the Parade Ring at Cork Racecourse
  • 6pm – Let the fun continue, hop on the free shuttle bus and join the Mallow restaurant and pub trail as it continues with live music at various venues

Monday April 9th

  • 10.30am - Registration for 10km family fun cycle at  Mallow GAA Complex, Carrigoon
  • 11.00am – 10k cycle leaves Mallow GAA Complex
  • 11am – Presentation of certs after cycle and Easter Egg hunt at GAA Complex
  • 1pm - C103 live broadcast from Cork Racecourse with fun and giveaways throughout the afternoon
  • 2pm – Third day of racing at Cork Racecourse Mallow with the focus on point to point winners
  • 2.30pm -The History of Mallow Railway Station guided walk, meeting at Mallow Train Station
  • 6pm – Take the shuttle bus into Mallow and relax after the long weekend in the pubs and restaurants

Each day

  • Outdoor activities – kayaking, high ropes, archery etc for all ages at reduced rates at Ballyhass Lakes
  • Golf lessons at Mallow Golf Club
  • Take in the sights at Millstreet Country Park
  • Activities at Little Rascals, Majestic Business Park, Mallow
