CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The Saturday afternoon feature will be the centrepiece at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park as the Preferred 1 pace has once again drawn the Island’s hardest hitters headlined by the streaking Twin B Tuffenuff who looks to extend his win streak to four.
The $5,500 Preferred 1 goes as Race 10 on the 11-dash program with a 12:30 P.M. first-race post time.
Twin B Tuffenuff leaves from post 5 with Gilles Barrieau back in the bike for trainer Ronald Matheson and owners Pat Morris. The 10-year-old son of Rock N Roll Heaven has been nothing short of brilliant in recent weeks with three consecutive Preferred victories two on the front end in 1:54 and change, and a razor-sharp off-the-pace score last Saturday where he roared home in 27.4 to nail the win over an off-track.
His main opposition includes a pair of his stablemates with the post 1 starter T H Boomtown, a gutsy son of Captain Crunch who gets driver Corey MacPherson this week after finishing third at this level in his last two.
House Edge Hanover is another Matheson trainee from post 3 with Ken Murphy aboard. The Betting Line four-year-old is a nine-time winner in 2025.
The post 2 starter is Bee Two Bee, trained by Ashley Gamester with Jason Hughes returning to the seat. The eight-year-old Sunshine Beach stallion has danced every dance on the Island this year and was nailed late off the front last week to finish fourth and was a closing third the week previous.
Rounding out the field is post 4 starter Malignity, a Gold Cup and Saucer trial starter and champion of the P.E.I. Colt Stakes Graduate Series. Paul Langille trains and drive the son of Malicious.
